Hotel near Beach Road offers ‘first-of-its-kind glamping experience’ on its rooftop
Taking up the “best spot” on the pool deck, the glamp tent will be located just next to the hotel’s infinity pool — which overlooks Raffles Hotel and Fairmont Singapore.
SINGAPORE — What comes to mind when one thinks of glamorous camping or “glamping”? Probably spending a couple of nights under the stars in a wildlife safari, up on the mountains or by a gorgeous lake.
But a hotel here has come up with what it calls a “first-of-its-kind glamping experience” — at a special launch rate of S$280++ a night, guests can stay in a glamp tent on its rooftop in the art and design enclave near Beach Road.
Naumi Hotel Singapore — in collaboration with Wondrous Glamping, a firm which specialises in "premium seaside camping experiences" — said that it is the first luxury boutique hotel here to integrate the “refreshing concept of glamorous camping in a hotel experience”.
Guests who book the glamping package will be able to check in at 6pm — which the hotel says is the perfect time to catch the stunning sunset at the rooftop — and check out at 2pm the following day.
Taking up the “best spot” on the pool deck, the "glamp tent" will be located just next to the hotel’s infinity pool — which overlooks Raffles Hotel and Fairmont Singapore.
The tent comes with a King Koil queen-sized bed, high speed wifi, portable air-conditioner, access to a common bathroom and shower facilities and some of the “most picturesque scenery of the cityscape”.
The package also includes two welcome drinks, buffet breakfast for two, bathroom amenities and a pack of limited edition Naumi playing cards.
In its press release on Tuesday (Jan 21), Naumi Hotel Singapore noted that apart from the tent provided to guests who have booked the “Glamping under the Stars” package, access to the Cloud 9 Infinity Pool & Bar — located at the rooftop — will remain open to all other hotel guests.
It added that guests should "understand and agree to undertake the risks of glamping synonymous to outdoor glamping" as the hotel "seeks to provide an authentic glamping experience”.
Mr Peter Wong, the vice-president at Naumi Hotels, said the hotel is constantly looking for the next unique experience to offer its guests,
“We would like to recreate a glamping experience that is as authentic as camping in the outdoors; while guests who book the package will enjoy the bespoke hospitality that Naumi is known for, by sharing a common space and facilities with other people in the natural, albeit stylish surroundings, they will certainly take away from the experience a truly unique and memorable stay,” said Mr Wong.
