SINGAPORE — Marina Bay Sands (MBS) has been fined a total of S$65,000 and Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) has been censured for various breaches, including allowing excluded persons or people without valid entry levies to enter or remain on their casino premises.
The breaches to the Casino Control Act were reported or detected between July 1, 2013, and Dec 31, 2013, said a notice on the Casino Regulatory Authority of Singapore’s (CRA) website.
The CRA fined MBS S$20,000 for failing to prevent four Singapore citizens and permanent residents from remaining on its casino premises without valid entry levies after their 24-hour entry levies had expired.
MBS’ failure to prevent two excluded persons from entering and/or remaining on its casino premises without reasonable excuse also resulted in it being fined S$45,000.
RWS was censured for failing to prevent two Singapore citizens from entering its casino premises without valid entry levies.
In November last year, MBS and RWS were fined a total of S$197,500 and S$20,000, respectively, by the CRA for similar breaches.
