One Singapore Airlines flight cancelled, three rerouted after Pakistan closes airspace
Pakistan closed its airspace to commercial flights. Singapore Airlines has to cancel one flight and reroute three others.
SINGAPORE — Singapore Airlines has cancelled one flight and rerouted three others following the closure of Pakistani airspace, amid rising tensions and air strikes involving Pakistan and India.
SQ325, which was due to depart Frankfurt at 9.55pm (Frankfurt time) on Wednesday (Feb 27) and arrive at 5.15pm (Singapore time) on Thursday, has been cancelled. Passengers will be transferred to other airlines, an SIA spokesperson said in response to TODAY’s queries.
SQ326, operating from Singapore to Frankfurt, will stop in Mumbai for refuelling before heading to the German city, provided it is able to arrive in Frankfurt before the airport’s curfew.

Separately, two of Singapore Airlines’ direct flights to London were rerouted and had to make unscheduled stops for refuelling. SQ308 will stop in Dubai for refuelling while SQ318 will do so in Mumbai before going to London, the SIA spokesperson said.
He added that all other flights that travel over the affected airspace will be rerouted, but are “due to operate as scheduled at this point”.
