Png Eng Huat appointed vice-chairman of Aljunied-Hougang Town Council
Hougang's new MP-elect, Png Eng Huat from the Workers' Party has been appointed vice-chairman of the Aljunied-Hougang Town Council.

SINGAPORE: Hougang's new MP-elect, Png Eng Huat from the Workers' Party has been appointed vice-chairman of the Aljunied-Hougang Town Council.
This was announced in a notification of the Government Gazette on Monday.
The other vice-chairman is the Party's Secretary-General and an MP for Aljunied GRC, Low Thia Khiang.
Party Chairman, Sylvia Lim is the town council's chairman.
The remaining three MPs of the Aljunied GRC - Chen Show Mao, Pritam Singh and Muhamad Faisal - are also elected members of the Town Council.
Ms Sylvia Lim had told residents of Hougang at the height of the by-election campaign that Mr Png would be appointed the town council's vice chairman if he was elected into Parliament.
