RIP: Gone too soon, Aloysius Pang

SINGAPORE — Four days after he was seriously injured during a military exercise, actor Aloysius Pang succumbed to his injuries and died on Wednesday (Jan 23) night. 

Pang had been on reservist as an armament technician with the 268th Battalion Singapore Artillery and was carrying out repair works on a self-propelled howitzer at Waiouru Training Area in New Zealand last Saturday when the incident happened.

On Wednesday, Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen said that the 28-year-old is in “very serious” condition and needed artificial life support for his lungs, kidneys and heart. Pang died at 8.45pm (Singapore time) at Waikato Hospital in New Zealand.
