SYDNEY, ‌Jan 8 : Australia beat England by five wickets on the fifth day ‌of the fifth ‌and final Ashes test on Thursday to seal a 4-1 series ‍triumph.

The hosts won the first three tests in the ​series in ‌Perth, Brisbane and Adelaide to ​secure series honours and ⁠ensure ‌they would ​retain the Ashes urn until they ‍next tour England ⁠in 2027.
