10,000 homes to be built in Yishun's Chencharu; Gillman Barracks could be redeveloped for housing

Chencharu estate in Yishun town will be getting thousands of new flats, while Gillman Barracks in Telok Blangah could be redeveloped for more housing. For a start, HDB will offer some 1,200 units in Chencharu in the upcoming June Build-To-Order exercise. National Development Minister Desmond Lee said these plans are part of the government's commitment to ensure there are housing options for every budget and every need. He also noted that property prices and rents are stabilising. Rebecca Metteo reports.
