Abdul Samad Abdul Wahab on Constitution and Penal Code Amendment Bills relating to Section 377A
In Parliament on Tuesday (Nov 29), NMP Abdul Samad Abdul Wahab said he is "heartened" by the passion and conviction of the Members in the House to safeguard the institution of marriage and family, while according the necessary space to those who feel "oppressed" by the existence of Section 377A. He stressed the need to maintain trust and mutual respect, as well as stay united. He also urged the Government to help the layman better understand the relevant processes for legislative and policy reforms. Â
