Amy Khor on fighting second-hand tobacco smoke

The Ministry of Health regularly reviews the evidence surrounding its tobacco control policy. It is continually enhancing its efforts to further reduce the prevalence of smoking through public education, smoking cessation services, legislation and taxation. On its part, the National Environment Agency is constantly looking out for reasonable and practical solutions to address the harms of second-hand tobacco smoke. Senior Minister of State for Sustainability and the Environment Amy Khor outlined these efforts in reply to an MP's questions in Parliament on Wednesday (Oct 5). She urged smokers to be socially responsible by not lighting up in places where second-hand tobacco smoke can affect the people around them.
