Ang Wei Neng on Private Security Industry (Amendment) Bill

MP Ang Wei Neng welcomed measures to improve protection for security officers, noting that 40 per cent of those who took part in a survey last year said they had suffered some form of abuse. However, he said the officers must in turn not abuse that protection. He also asked about a clause in the Private Security Industry (Amendment) Bill that places the onus on a person accused of harassing a security officer to justify his actions.
