Associate Professor Razwana Begum on new measures to help charities with due diligence

Charities will receive more help to beef up their capabilities against money laundering and terrorism financing. The Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants is offering them subsidised screening services to do so. Many charities had asked for more guidance and support in screening donations. A panel of professionals will help check donors against watch lists. Associate Professor Razwana Begum, head of the public safety and security programme at the Singapore University of Social Sciences, shared how the new guidelines will help charities with due diligence.
