Japan defence: Panel urges tech and sector upgrades to meet future security challenges

A Japanese defence ministry expert panel is proposing that Tokyo boost its defence capabilities by further tapping technology for deterrence and building up its domestic defence sector. It expressed concern over growing strategic cooperation among Russia, China and North Korea. The panel submitted recommendations to Defense Minister Gen Nakatani on Sep 19.
