The Vatican has confirmed that cardinals will begin voting for a new head of the Catholic church on May 7. That is three days after the end of the nine-day mourning period following the burial of Pope Francis. In preparation for the secretive conclave, the Vatican has closed the Sistine Chapel, where cardinals will gather for the vote.
