Baey Yam Keng on lifts at pedestrian overhead bridges
As at the end of 2021, a total of 77 pedestrian overhead bridges (POBs) have been retrofitted with lifts. The Land Transport Authority is working on adding lifts for POBs near places such as healthcare institutions. This phase, which started in 2020, will see around 60 PUBs being retrofitted with lifts. Another 30 POBs will be installed progressively over the next three years. Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Transport Baey Yam Keng gave this update in reply to an MP’s questions in Parliament on Thursday (Mar 10).
