Budget 2021 debate: Louis Ng on performance appraisal system for teachers

Make the performance appraisal system for teachers standardised, transparent, fair and formative, said MP Louis Ng in Parliament on Thursday (Feb 25). He proposed that the appraisal system be based on standardised criteria; the Ministry of Education should enforce a clear and consistent feedback policy for performance appraisals; and that the quota system for the grades be removed. He also called for the removal of punitive measures for the C- grade.
