Budget 2023 debate: Abdul Samad Abdul Wahab on strengthening the workforce
"The peaceful and harmonious industrial relations that we experience today did not happen by chance, but only through the efforts and sacrifices of our union leaders," said NMP Abdul Samad Abdul Wahab in Parliament on Thursday (Feb 23). He expressed his appreciation to his fellow unionists and called for management partners to better appreciate union leaders in their companies and industries. He also highlighted the importance of training, for workers to learn, unlearn and relearn skills that add value to them as individuals and for their employers. He also asked if more support will be given to families, such as those with children who have hidden disabilities.
