Budget 2025: Parents having their third child or more to get up to S$16,000 in extra support
Prime Minister Lawrence Wong said support for marriage and parenthood is a national priority. In his Budget speech, he announced additional support of up to S$16,000 for large families. Every third and subsequent child born from Feb 18 will get a grant of S$10,000 to offset preschool fees and healthcare costs. S$5,000 will be credited to their mother's MediSave. Parents will also get S$6,000 in credits to defray household expenses for the first six years of the child's life. Nikhil Khattar reports.
