Chee Hong Tat on Statutes (Miscellaneous Amendments) Bill
In Parliament on Tuesday (Jan 9), Senior Minister of State for Finance Chee Hong Tat outlined the proposed changes in the Statutes (Miscellaneous Amendments) Bill. The changes are technical in nature, covering areas such as storing business names registration, late objections to the valuation list and property tax, as well as greater flexibility in ensuring that tax appeals are resolved in a more timely and efficient manner. The Bill was passed in the House.
