China's retaliatory tariffs on US goods come into effect as trade war escalates

China's retaliatory tariffs on US goods are now in effect as the trade war between the world's two largest economies intensifies. It comes after the US introduced levies of 10 per cent on all Chinese products last week. Beijing has slapped a 15 per cent tax on imports of coal and liquefied natural gas from the US. There is also a 10 per cent tariff on American crude oil, agricultural machinery and large-engine cars. Olivia Siong and Simon Marks report.
