Chinese carmakers dominate EV market in Indonesia
Indonesia aims to have two million electric cars and 13 million electric motorcycles on its roads by 2030. There are also plans to further develop the country's EV ecosystem, in view of its large nickel resources that can support the industry. Sales of electric cars surged 177% year-on-year from January to August and contributed over 4% to total national car sales.
