Chong Kee Hiong on Workplace Fairness Bill
The Workplace Fairness Bill is an important milestone in Singapore's journey to update employment practices and improve the work environment, said MP Chong Kee Hiong in Parliament on Wednesday (Jan 8). He appealed to the Ministry of Manpower to consider including more measures in the interest of employees, such as prohibiting indirect discrimination and requiring employers to provide reasonable accommodations in the workplace. He added that these measures are necessary to enable people with disabilities to find, maintain and advance in employment.
