Southeast Asia remains a key target for Islamic State recruitment, NTUC Assistant Secretary-General Desmond Choo pointed out in Parliament on Monday (Mar 1), citing the August 2020 twin bombings in Sulu, Philippines. He stressed the need for a continued guard against external threats and to not let the fight against terrorism take a backseat. He asked how the Ministry of Defence was maintaining vigilance against terrorist threats, especially online.
