Committee of Supply 2021 debate, Day 2: Desmond Choo on progress towards a next-generation SAF

As a small country, the size of Singapore’s military will always be limited, so it must make up for this by constantly upgrading its capabilities, said MP Desmond Choo in Parliament on Monday (Mar 1). He said other countries will not abandon efforts to modernise their militaries even amid the economic fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic. Mr Choo asked for an update on building the next-generation Singapore Armed Forces, noting that the vision was first laid out in 2019.
