Committee of Supply 2021 debate, Day 3: Leon Perera on job advertisements for migrant workers

The Ministry of Manpower could set up an online portal for prospective migrant workers and those already in Singapore, where only Singapore employers with quota and Singapore-licensed employment agencies can advertise vacancies, suggested MP Leon Perera in Parliament on Tuesday (Mar 2). Job applications and acceptances should also be done through this portal. Mr Perera said this would cut out unlicensed job brokers and improve transparency.
