Committee of Supply 2022 debate, Day 6: Melvin Yong on 'upstream' support for families under stress
The COVID-19 pandemic has strained the relationships of many families, especially those which are vulnerable, said MP Melvin Yong. Speaking in Parliament on Wednesday (Mar 9), he wanted to know what more the Government can do to support families "upstream". He also asked for updates on the number of family violence cases received by the Family Violence Specialist Centre, as well as the progress in implementing the recommendations of the Taskforce on Family Violence.
