The COVID-19 pandemic may have been a painful and challenging experience, but it provided opportunities too, as technological developments in education and corresponding education technology had to be accelerated. MP Darryl David said this in Parliament on Tuesday (Feb 28). He asked the Ministry of Education for an update on what it learned from the pandemic experience in terms of education technology, and how education technology can be harnessed to enhance the teaching and learning journey. He also wanted to know how educators will be retrained and upskilled in tech and how students and parents will be prepared for these changes as well.
