Committee of Supply 2023 debate, Day 7: Maliki Osman on expansion of Project DIAN@M3
Project DIAN@M3, which was launched in late 2021 to strengthen support for Malay-Muslim families in HDB rental flats, will be expanded to three more M3@Towns - Chua Chu Kang, Jurong and Tampines. This follows the success of its pilot phase, in which it reached out to more than 70 per cent of Malay households and identified young families with young children who were referred to DIAN ambassadors for more intensive home-based support. This was announced by Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office Maliki Osman in Parliament on Monday (Mar 6). He said the Malay-Muslim community wants to improve coordination across public agencies and community organisations to provide more integrated wraparound support for the vulnerable. It also aims to develop a strong volunteer corps and build a strong network of community partners so that it can contribute to broader causes.
