Committee of Supply 2023 debate, Day 7: Xie Yao Quan on inclusive sports and sports and fitness professionals
In Parliament on Monday (Mar 6), MP Xie Yao Quan asked the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY) to provide an update on its progress and plans for disability sports as part of the Enabling Masterplan, both in terms of the uptick and participation in community sports by persons with disabilities as well as the growth of and support for high-performance disability sports. Pointing out that sports and fitness professionals are set to play an even more significant role in the Healthier SG movement, he wanted to know how MCCY plans to help these professionals refresh and update their skills and build new capabilities.
