State land and assets should be optimised to support Singapore’s economy and serve the country and community, said MP Patrick Tay in Parliament on Thursday (Feb 29). He wanted to know how many plots of state land and assets are disused or under-utilised. He also wanted to know how the Singapore Land Authority (SLA) is optimising state assets and making the best use possible of all these land and assets while meeting market needs. He also asked if technology, including geospatial capabilities, is being leveraged upon to enhance the capabilities of SLA.
