Committee of Supply 2024 debate, Day 2: Rachel Ong on improving services for NSmen

02:58 Min

Simplifying processes and improving accessibility and quality of healthcare for national servicemen are crucial efforts that must be sustained, said MP Rachel Ong in Parliament on Thursday (Feb 29). She asked for updates on a centralised facility announced in 2019 to consolidate all NS-related services at one location, so they would not have to visit multiple sites across Singapore for services such as health screenings, annual fitness tests and equipment procurement. She also asked about plans for five more regional health hubs for NSmen, after the opening of the first one at Kranji in February.
