As Singapore’s population grows increasingly well-educated and skilled, its national servicemen (NSmen) will bring to the table a diverse range of talent and experience that could be useful to the Singapore Armed Forces, said MP Yeo Wan Ling. Speaking in Parliament on Thursday (Feb 29), she asked the Ministry of Defence to give an update on the number of NSmen who have undergone expertise-based deployment. She also wanted to know if there are plans to expand such efforts.
