Committee of Supply 2024 debate, Day 6: Denise Phua on ComLink+

02:02 Min

In Parliament on Wednesday (Mar 6), MP Denise Phua sought an update from the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) regarding the progress and impact of the ComLink+ pilot to date, as well as lessons learnt from the pilot, including the challenges and resources required. Highlighting the issue of uncoordinated touch points, conflicting advice or service overlaps due to well-meaning donors and volunteers who are unaware or “prefer to do their own thing”, she wanted to know what are MSF's strategies to address the issue of multiple points of contact so that the family coach can be more effective. She also wanted to know MSF's measures to ensure that volunteers recruited to assist ComLink families are suitable, reliable and committed.
