Committee of Supply 2024 debate, Day 6: Ong Hua Han on boosting sports participation for persons with disabilities

NMP Ong Hua Han said Singapore must go beyond physical accessibility to ensure that persons with disabilities feel supported and empowered to take part in sports alongside their peers. In Parliament on Wednesday (Mar 6), he asked if the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth can expand the range of sports programmes offered to cater to more disabilities. Beyond partnering disability organisations, the ministry could also consider ramping up efforts to increase the outreach of its programmes.
