Amid increasing geopolitical uncertainties and trade tensions among major powers, forging connections with middle powers can strengthen Singapore's diplomatic economic and strategic flexibility, as well as foster innovation and cultural exchanges, said MP Jessica Tan. They can offer diversified trade opportunities which are crucial to Singapore's open economy, she said in parliament on Monday (Mar 3). She wanted to know what Singapore can do to enhance its relationships with European middle powers.
