In parliament on Tuesday (Mar 4), MP Louis Chua asked for updates on plans to further develop Sengkang Town Centre. He suggested that empty land plots could be maximised for new developments to better meet residents’ needs. To improve transport connectivity and build barrier-free infrastructure that would serve both young families and the elderly, he suggested that specific tender requirements for contractors should be included in new Build-to-Order projects not just in Sengkang but across Singapore.
