The Enhancement for Active Seniors (EASE) programme is open to persons with disabilities (PWDs) regardless of age, on a case-by-case basis. However, not everyone is aware they can apply as the naming of the scheme suggests that the programme is meant for seniors only. NMP Ong shared this observation in parliament on Tuesday (Mar 4). He called for the Ministry of National Development to make it clearer that PWDs of all ages can also benefit from EASE, which offers subsidies for home modifications, or consider a separate scheme for PWDs.
