Singapore is experiencing more sudden and heavy rainfall which leaves homeowners and businesses with little reaction time to put up protective barriers, said MP Poh Li San in parliament on Tuesday (Mar 4). She asked for updates on drainage infrastructure upgrades and measures to better protect basements, underground MRT stations and buildings in low-lying areas against flash floods. She also wanted to know how Singaporeans can be engaged to be well-prepared during floods.
