08:37 Min

It is imperative for Singapore to continue to seek growth albeit at a more moderate pace, said MP Liang Eng Hwa. He stressed the need to always strive to pick up that additional half per cent or one per cent of growth. It requires Singapore to press on with enterprise transformations, skills upgrade, infrastructure build-up and differentiation in value propositions, he said in parliament on Wednesday (Mar 5). He wanted to know how the Ministry of Trade and Industry plans to grow Singapore’s research and innovation ecosystem, as well as attract and support high-performing and innovative companies.
