Committee of Supply 2025 debate, Day 5: Mark Lee on fractional employment

01:21 Min

The extension of the Senior Employment Credit and Enabling Employment Credit is a welcome move as it enables businesses to tap into underutilised labour pools such as seniors and persons with disabilities (PWDs), said NMP Mark Lee. Speaking in parliament on Thursday (Mar 6), he asked the Ministry of Manpower if it will consider supporting job fractionalisation, allowing seniors and PWDs to contribute meaningfully through flexible work arrangements tailored to their needs. He also called for the ministry to explore tripartite standards for fractional employment.
