Committee of Supply 2025 debate, Day 7: Mohd Fahmi Aliman on support for Malay-Muslim workers and progress updates on Singapore College of Islamic Studies
Acknowledging the rollout of various government initiatives to help workers transit into higher-value industries, MP Mohd Fahmi Aliman asked the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth in parliament on Monday (Mar 10) for insights into the accessibility and effectiveness of these initiatives especially for Malay-Muslim workers, and how community partnerships and mentorship networks for them can be strengthened. He also asked for an update on the establishment of the Singapore College of Islamic Studies and how MUIS is providing guidance on its curriculum and to contribute to meaningful Islamic discourse in a globalised world.
