Residents in the North East have become resigned to long and crowded commutes and the Seletar Line offers "a chance to do better", said NCMP Andre Low. Speaking in parliament on Wednesday (Mar 4), he urged the government to incorporate provisions for express rail services on the Seletar Line from the outset. This decision should be made during current feasibility studies and not after groundbreaking and certainly not after the line is in operation, he said.
