Allow younger singles to buy HDB flats if they can afford to do so. Instead of 35, lower the eligibility age to 28. Leader of the Opposition Pritam Singh, who made this call in Parliament on Tuesday (Mar 8), said allowing a single person to buy HDB property earlier may well open new prospects to move on to marriage and parenthood. It also leaves more scope to grow their CPF savings for peace of mind and retirement adequacy.
