15:14 Min

With pet ownership on the rise and growing demand for high-quality animal care, Singapore should create more structured and accessible pathways into the veterinary profession, said MP David Hoe. This includes developing a wider talent pipeline for not just vets, but veterinary nurses, technicians and other support roles. In parliament on Wednesday (Apr 8), Mr Hoe also asked about the expertise that will be required of laypersons on a new Veterinary Council.
