Defamation trial: Shanmugam claims Bloomberg had agenda to write about his property sale
Home Affairs Minister K Shanmugam said Bloomberg had an agenda in its reporting of his property transaction. Speaking on the first day of a defamation hearing, he labelled Bloomberg's emails discussing coverage as "venomous". Mr Shanmugam and Manpower Minister Tan See Leng are suing Bloomberg over an article by journalist Low De Wei on high-end property deals. They say the article falsely suggested that they had acted improperly in their transactions. The trial against Bloomberg is on until next Thursday. Sherlyn Seah reports.
