Dennis Tan on Resource Sustainability (Amendment) Bill
In Parliament on Tuesday (Mar 21), MP Dennis Tan reiterated his call for people to shift their mindsets to reduce single-use plastic bags and all single-use plastic products and only use what they need. He also hopes that the beverage container return scheme will be extended to glass bottles and beverage cartons. Mr Tan also urged the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment to have a multilingual public education campaign to ensure that more Singaporeans will understand the issue of food waste and double their efforts towards reducing food waste at all levels.
