Proposed changes to regulate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in Singapore successfully balance environmental protection with business interests, said MP Desmond Choo in Parliament on Monday (Sep 13). He made several suggestions - first, to make a planned register of equipment suppliers, regulated goods and registered companies handling GHGs accessible online; second, to stiffen penalties for falsifying data; and third, to ensure support for smaller businesses in meeting the new requirements.
