Desmond Tan on measures to tackle job scams

There were 4,722 reports of job scam cases from 2019 to 2021. Most of the victims were younger adults aged between 20 and 39, said Minister of State for Home Affairs Desmond Tan. Speaking in reply to a Parliamentary question on Thursday (Mar 3), he said education is key to protect people from falling prey to scams. Besides public education campaigns and programmes to engage seniors, the Singapore Police Force has stepped up efforts to disrupt scams, including the setting up of an Anti-Scam Division.
