Dinesh Vasu Dash on safety of platform workers
A workgroup convened by the Ministry of Manpower is looking into the safety of platform workers and how to reduce injuries among them. This includes detecting unsafe behaviours and increasing awareness of safety risks and good practices. Since January 2025, platform workers have been entitled to work injury compensation at the same level of coverage as employees. Minister of State for Manpower Dinesh Vasu Dash said this in parliament on Thursday (May 7) in answer to an MP’s question.
