Edward Chia on Workplace Fairness (Dispute Resolution) Bill
Employers and employees need to have the confidence that Singapore’s workplace fairness system is a balanced and trusted one. With that in mind, MP Edward Chia called for accessible and impartial mediation without fear especially for lower-wage workers, safeguards against frivolous claims and certainty of timely resolution and compensation. In parliament on Tuesday (Nov 4), he also sought support for SMEs to strengthen HR capabilities to meet the new statutory requirements.
