Edwin Tong on AGO report on projects run by People’s Association
In Parliament on Monday (Sep 13), Culture, Community and Youth Minister Edwin Tong gave updates on review and remedial steps taken after irregularities were flagged by the Auditor-General’s Office over two projects run by the People’s Association - Our Tampines Hub (OTH) and Heartbeat@Bedok (HBB). The lapses were in three areas - failure to adopt full price fluctuation adjustments for the main building contract for OTH, management and oversight of contract variations in the construction of both projects, and irregularities while operating and maintaining facilities at OTH. Mr Tong was replying to MPs’ questions.
